Teenage biker denies careless driving charge in Wick

A teenager has denied driving his motorbike carelessly in Wick.

The 17-year-old wasn’t present at Wick Sheriff Court last week, and tendered his plea through an agent.

He is alleged to have accelerated harshly in Glamis Road, Wick, on March 11, repeatedly swerved across the road and travelled at an excessive speed for the road and weather conditions. The accused also denied being uninsured.

The teenager cannot be identified because of his age. His case was continued until January 7.
