Sweet treats for hospital patients thanks to kind-hearted Wick football team

Wick Thistle FC made a donation of gifts to the patients of Caithness General Hospital who will be spending the festive season in the Rosebank Wing.

The football club said it was proud to donate a hamper of sweets and toiletries to patients "who sadly won’t be home for Christmas".

A spokesperson for Wick Thistle added: "They will be in good hands with the great staff, who have all worked tirelessly through these very challenging times."

Healthcare support worker Jo-Anne Anderson received the hamper on behalf of the hospital yesterday evening.
