The president, Anne Gunn, welcomed a good turnout of members to the March meeting of Spittal SWI.

After business had been attended to, members were congratulated on their success at the recent West of Caithness bulb show.

Spittal had most points overall at the show, while Ruth Manson was the member with most points across all the institutes. She was presented with the Agnes Howie Memorial Tray for most points in Spittal SWI.

Anne then welcomed Elspeth Manson, senior coordinator of Befriending Caithness, and Richard Thurling, assistant coordinator. They gave an insight into their work and answered many questions.

Befriending Caithness is delivered by Caithness Voluntary Group.
