Proceedings which were due to take place tomorrow as part of a judicial review involving Space Hub Sutherland, have been postponed.

A procedural hearing was scheduled to go ahead at the Court of Session in Edinburgh tomorrow (Thursday, April 1), but will not now take place until Thursday, April 15.

Highland Council has granted planning consent to the Space Hub Sutherland.

The hearing is held prior to the judicial review itself taking place.

A successful petition for a judicial review was made by Wildland Ltd, owned by entrepreneur Anders Holch Povlsen.

Mr Povlsen owns several estates in Sutherland including Eriboll Estate, which adjoins the site for the planned space port at A’Mhoine.

Wildland objected to the plans for the commercial space port, saying it had concerns over the potential ecological and landscape damage set against the “likely very limited benefit”.

Wildland chief executive Tim Kirkwood told the Northern Times: "The timetable was rescheduled some time ago. I think there is a purely procedural hearing very shortly but I believe that the substantive hearing is set down for three days in June."
