Highlife Highland countryside ranger’s seabird walk to delight nature fans at Duncansby Head near John O’Groats
Nature fans will get the chance to spot some of Caithness’s many seabird species during a guided walk this week.
Highlife Highland’s countryside rangers will be hosting a seabird walk at Duncansby Head on Tuesday, June 4.
“Enjoy a ranger-led short, guided walk in Caithness to see breeding seabird colonies and fantastic coastal scenery at Duncansby Head,” said a spokesperson for the rangers. “ Bring your binoculars or use our telescope, to get some great views of the nesting birds found here.
“All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Dogs are not welcome on these walks. Booking is essential due to limited numbers.”
The walk will take place from midday to 2pm. Book a spot at https://booking.highlifehighland.com/programme/2.
The Booking reference is ACT001767.
The walk is free but donations are welcomed.
“We make no charge for this event but we rely on your donations to help us protect our Highland wildlife and heritage,” added the spokesperson.
