Peter Irvine, the author of Scotland the Best, a guide to the best Scotland has to offer, made an unscheduled visit to Wick Heritage Museum this week to see whether it was worthy of its previous grading, as he is bringing out an updated edition of his book.

He said he was delighted to be back in the museum. He was impressed that new displays had been added, and that it had maintained its high standards.
