Record entry at first sale of Store Lambs at Caithness Livestock Centre
Caithness Livestock Centre has witnessed a record entry of over 8000 store lambs entered into the first sale of Hisha & Non-Hisha NCC Hill & Store Lambs which will take place on Monday from 10am.
The sale will feature entries from Dunbeath, Bettyhill, Forsinard and North West Sutherland areas and will include the sale of all classes of store and prime lambs.
Entries include 5000 North Country Cheviots and 3000 Continental bred lambs.
Scott Chapman, auctioneer, Aberdeen & Northern Marts said: “A centre record entry of store lambs are set to be sold at the opening sale of the season at Quoybrae, promising a strong start to the busy sale season.”
Online bidding will be available at the sale.
Upcoming sales at Caithness Livestock Centre includes the Show and Sale of 6000 half bred, North Country Cheviot, Ewe and Store Lambs and sale of Prime Lambs, sponsored by DR Alexander on Monday, August 18.
Entries close on Wednesday, August 13 at 5pm.
The annual North County Cheviot Ram & Female Sale will take place on Friday, September 19 and entries close this Monday at 3pm.
