Read about the Night Pixie’s fear of ‘dandelion farts’ in Thurso author’s new kids’ book





A Scottish Book Trust award winner from Thurso has a new illustrated children’s book available for pre-order.

Hazel Knox’s latest work is called The Night Pixie and will be available on September 10 on Amazon.

“The Night Pixie is aimed at 7-9-year-olds and is out on the 10th September with HB Publishing House. It's written by me and illustrated by the super-talented Chris White,” said Hazel.

The book concerns Star the night pixie who is tired of hiding from daylight, humans and Granny’s dandelion farts.

She wishes life in the garden was more exciting. So when she bumps into a human, Star ignores Mum’s warnings and dives into her new friend's world. A wild adventure follows as Star discovers chocolate cake, toilets and just how dangerous day can be.

Hazel is a children's poet, author and former Scottish Book Trust New Writers Award winner. Originally from Thurso, her love of nature features strongly in her work. She has had several poems and short stories published. The Night Pixie is her debut children's book.
