Police search for young Bower woman reported missing

Police in the Highlands are appealing for information to help trace a missing 20-year-old Caithness woman.

Ella Quinn Herrick was last seen at her home address in Bower at around 10pm on Wednesday.

Police with tracker dogs were seen by a witness combing rough ground close to the Norscot showroom in Bower today at around 4pm.

Ella is described as around 5ft 4in tall, of a slim build with blue eyes and short shoulder length brown hair that is shaven at the back.

When last seen, she was carrying a distinctive brown satchel bag with a sunrise painted on the back.

Sergeant James Munro, of Wick community policing, said: “This is completely out of character for Ella to go missing and we are appealing to members of the public who may have information about her whereabouts.

“I would ask that if you have seen or noticed anyone matching this description that you get in contact with officers.

“If there is anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage that may have captured Ella, I urge you to come forward and speak to police."

Police can be contacted on 101 quoting incident number 1450.
