Police in Wick are appealing for information after a traffic accident in which a driver failed to stop.

It happened on the A882 between Clayock Farm and the junction with the A9 at about 5.20pm on Sunday (February 28) when a silver-coloured BMW X5 collided into the rear of a red Vauxhall Corsa, causing significant damage.

The silver-coloured BMW X5 was then seen to drive off in the direction of Thurso.

Police are urging anyone with dashcam footage who was travelling between Wick and Thurso on the A882 around that time to contact 101 and quote incident number PS-20210228-2858.
