A broken down pleasure boat sparked a call-out for Wick’s RNLI crew on Monday afternoon.

The crew launched at 2.18pm after being made aware by the coastguard that the small boat required assistance in Sinclair Bay.

By the time of its arrival on the scene, the pleasure craft had been taken under tow by another small boat. The RNLI crew then transferred the line to their lifeboat and towed the broken down craft into harbour at Keiss.

The RNLI crew, who were using the relief vessel RNLI Windsor Runner (Civil Service No 42) while their usual lifeboat is being serviced, then returned to base.
