Police in Wick are appealing for information after a driver failed to stop at the scene of a road traffic collision.

At around 1pm on Friday, February 12, a large silver vehicle, which was travelling northwards on the A99 at the Rockhill Road junction, Hempriggs, Wick, veered onto the opposing carriageway and collided with a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.

Police say the driver of the vehicle continued travelling northwards without stopping to exchange details with the other driver.

If anyone has any information or was in the area at the time of the incident and has dashcam footage, they are asked to contact police on 101.
