The Rev Leslie O’Neill conducted the Remembrance Sunday service at Halkirk, while Deputy Lieutenant Gillian Coghill was among those laying poppy wreaths to honour the fallen.
After a week of dry weather, the service took place in a downpour as members of the community gathered to pay their respects.
On Monday morning, children from Halkirk Primary School attended an Armistice Day service and two-minute silence at the war memorial with the Rev Lyall Rennie.
Some of the children took part in the service and laid a wreath on behalf of the school.
