Primary pupils at Canisbay and Castletown enjoyed the return of their residential trip.

Around 40 P6 and P7 pupils from the two schools stayed at the Fairburn Activity Centre in Muir of Ord., where the activities included rafting, archery and den building.

Head teacher Rhona Moodie said: "The trip was fantastic and it was so great to see them get fully involved in the activities and to enjoy their adventure away from home.

"The centre staff were great and were very impressed with the children, who were their first large residential group in the last two years."

The trip was part-funded by the Stroupster Wind Farm grant through Foundation Scotland.
