Pennyland pupils bring festive foodbank cheer

A Thurso primary school has been collecting items for its local foodbank throughout December and handed over boxes to the volunteers yesterday.

There were 17 boxes delivered in total to the foodbank yesterday.

A P3 pupil and P1 pupil went along to the local foodbank with their headteacher at Pennyland Primary School, Laura Murray, to hand over 17 boxes of food that had been collected.

"This was a massive achievement to help our community," said Catherine Taylor, principal teacher at the school.
