The NHS Highland area has not recorded any new positive tests for Covid-19 in the past five days.

Friday's Scottish Government update confirmed that the number of confirmed cases in the region remained at 375.

The number of those in hospital last night fell by one, to five.

The new figures came as Scotland registered 12 new positive tests for coronavirus, and saw the number of Covid-19 patients receiving hospital treatment drop by 10 to 422. Of those, five were in intensive care.

Scotland also recorded one further death among those who tested positive for the virus, taking the number of such fatalities to 2488 since the pandemic first began.

NHS Grampian (1423 positive tests), Orkney (nine), Shetland (54) and the Western Isles (seven) all saw their overall number of diagnoses remain the same overnight.
