Bodies discovered in Dundee confirmed as missing mother and daughter

Two bodies recovered from a house in Dundee have been identified.

Bennylyn Burke, 25, and her daughter Jellica, two, were reported missing from their south Gloucestershire home on March 1, having been last seen on February 17.

On March 18, police discovered two bodies at a property in Troon Avenue, Dundee.

Police have confirmed the bodies are those of Ms Burke and Jellica.

Their families have been updated and are being supported by police family liaison officers.

A 50-year-old man appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court on March 8, charged with murdering Ms Burke and Jellica.

He made no plea and was remanded in custody.

A second child who was reported missing has been traced and is being supported.
