Missing person Barry Creighton, from Caithness, has been traced safe and well.

Police had been appealing for information about the 40-year-old after he had been missing since last Monday.

Police Scotland said in a statement: "Officers would like to thank those who took the time to support efforts to find him and shared the appeal."

No image of Mr Creighton was released by police.
