A man who sparked a police missing person’s appeal earlier this week has been found.

Officers in Dingwall had launched an appeal for help tracing Liam Long (26) on Tuesday, after he had not been seen since around 3pm on April 29.

But in an update on Thursday morning, police in the Highlands confirmed that he has been traced.

Thanking the public for their help, a police spokesperson said: “We can confirm Liam Long, who had been reported missing from Dingwall, has been traced.

“We’d like to thank the public for their assistance.”
