He pleaded guilty to a charge of breach of the peace.

Also admitting a record of previous offending, Wick Sheriff Court was told that John Burns Glover (54) had been caught short while out for a walk on April 29.

He was "desperate" and relieved himself in Freswick Gardens in Thurso.

Fiscal David Barclay said that he was seen by a woman who reported the incident to the police.

Sentence was deferred on Glover, of Henderson Street, Thurso, until May 31, when a further, unrelated matter, will be considered by Sheriff Ian Miller.

He appeared in court from custody and was further remanded meantime.
