The indictment alleges that between New Year’s Eve, 2023, and New Year’s Day, 2024, he repeatedly made sexual comments to the woman at Reay Hall and asked her to engage in a sexual act.

Mr Higgins, of Beinn Ratha Court, Reay, is further accused of sexually assaulting her by touching her inappropriately and having entered a room in the hall while she was in various stages of undress and exposed himself, to her distress and alarm.

The accused’s trial is scheduled to start on June 9, next year.
