EMERGENCY services rushed to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the Causewaymire road yesterday afternoon.

Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called just after 1pm today, Wednesday 11 March, to a report of a crash involving two lorries on the A9 near Mybster."

The Scottish Ambulance Service was in attendance but there are not thought to be any serious injuries.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service also attended to make the area safe and had three appliances along with heavy rescue equipment.

The police reported that the road was blocked for some time due to the necessity to recover two large vehicles.
