Lord Lucan pays a visit to Caithness Horizons
STAFF at Thurso’s popular museum took a second glance when flicking through the pages of its visitor book recently.
It would appear a rather elusive character has recently passed through Caithness Horizons without being spotted.
Was the lure of the five-star quality visitor attraction really too much to keep the infamous Lord Lucan in hiding any longer? Was the new Dounreay exhibition enticing enough to bring him out of hiding after nearly 40 years or was it the reputation of the tastiest shortbread in the Highlands he found too tempting?
Since his disappearance in 1974 there have been many alleged sightings of Lucan reported from all over the world, but police have drawn a blank in their efforts to find the runaway aristocrat who disappeared following the murder of his children’s nanny.
Who knows, maybe Shergar will take a canter through this week?
