A Wick firefighter who has served for more than 30 years has received recognition for his long service after retiring last year.

Gary Geddes, whose full-time job is with Scottish Water, served for 31-and-a-half years until he gave up his role with the fire and rescue service in September

Gary (right) was presented with an engraved whisky glass, an engraved side table – locally made from parts of a whisky barrel – a bottle of whisky and a framed certificate.

The gifts were handed over by watch commander Colin Gunn (centre) while looking on are (from left) crew commander Graeme Miller, firefighter Robert Gunn, and crew commanders Richard Mackay and Hugo Ross.

Due to Covid restrictions only a limited number of people were able to attend the presentation.
