ACTOR Louis Hall completed his charity ride – known as The Big Hoof – at Land's End on Saturday after setting off from John O'Groats in mid-July.
The John O'Groats to Land's End (Jogle) trip was completed on horseback and raised a mix of online and offline donations for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
The day after finishing, an elated but exhausted Louis said: "So far I’ve raised over £32,000 and our target was £10,000.
"Lots of people came out to support, including many cystic fibrosis sufferers and their families, as we walked in to Land's End on a sunny afternoon at 4.30pm yesterday.
"Together we've notched up 1147 miles in 57 days."
When the 24-year-old set off from John O'Groats on a sunny Saturday morning in mid-July, Lyth model and stable owner Natalie Oag was invited to officially inaugurate the event.
Louis and his pony Irelanda took a break at Natalie's Horsin' Around stable in Lyth where he posed for pictures with his entourage and even met his namesake, stable mascot Louis the chihuahua.
Natalie said she was delighted to hear the good news. "I’m so proud of Louis and Irelanda, the wonder horse," she said.
"They are an inspiration to us all and I'm so happy to have been part of the send off. I've enjoyed all the updates and seeing Louis and Irelanda bond along the way while raising money for an amazing charity."
