Nominations are invited from residents of the Dunnet and Canisbay Community Council area to represent their community on the Stroupster Community Fund panel, with up to four people able to join.

Eilidh Coll, Foundation Scotland’s Caithness-based representative, said: “Four of the current panel members are reaching the end of the term they were initially appointed for and it would be great to see new people getting involved.

"Panel members make decisions on applications from community groups and also manage decisions on the new Dunnet and Canisbay Area Education and Training Fund which is available to help individuals with their training or educational aspirations.”

The deadline for applications is July 31 and nominations can be forwarded to Eilidh at eilidh@foundationscotland.org.uk or by post to Foundation Scotland, 15 Calton Road, Edinburgh EH1 8DL.

Foundation Scotland administers the fund on behalf of the wind farm operator, Greencoat UK Wind. The Stroupster Community Fund is expected to distribute £149,500 a year for the operating lifetime of the wind farm. More information on the fund can be found at the Foundation Scotland website.
