Latest Covid figures show 119 positive tests in Caithness

There were 119 positive tests for Covid-19 in Caithness during the latest seven-day period recorded by Public Health Scotland.

The Wick North neighbourhood had 28 positive cases, based on people tested between November 6 and 12. The seven-day rate per 100,000 population for Wick North was 869.6, compared with a figure of 480.4 for the region as a whole.

Public Health Scotland's interactive dashboard has a map giving the number of positive cases in individual neighbourhoods, seven of which are in Caithness.

It shows that in the most recent seven-day period there were also 26 positive cases in Thurso West, 17 in Wick South, 14 in Thurso East, 13 in Caithness South, 12 in Caithness North East and nine in Caithness North West.

There were 24 cases in the Sutherland North and West neighbourhood, 20 in Sutherland South and nine in Sutherland East.

Public Health Scotland reported 1131 positive cases across the Highland local authority area during the seven-day period.
