Jail for Thurso man who breached curfew and resisted arrest

A Thurso man who breached a restriction of limit order has been jailed for six months.

Sackary Hutson (25) admitted the breach when he appeared from custody at Wick Sheriff Court on Wednesday. The 7pm to 7am order was revoked and the prison term substituted.

In addition, he was sentenced to four months from resisting police who called at his home on Tuesday to arrest him. That period runs concurrently with the six months.

Sheriff Neil Wilson told Hutson, of Strathy House, Thurso, that he had a history of breaching court orders and that his behaviour when the police arrived at his home – he pushed his legs against a door frame – was “entirely inappropriate”.
