Increase in Covid-19 cases in NHS Highland area

A further 14 cases of Covid-19 have been detected in the NHS Highland area over the past 24 hours.
It brings the total number of infections in the region to 970 since the pandemic began.
Across Scotland there were 1433 new cases – 19.1 per cent of newly tested individuals – with 11 new coronavirus deaths reported.
Ten more people were in hospital with Covid across the country, with 985 reported as being treated for the virus today, with 84 people in intensive care, up from 76 yesterday.
In the islands, three more cases of Covid were recorded in the Western Isles, bringing the total there to 68, and an additional case was also found in Shetland, where the total is now 66.
Orkney recorded no new cases.
Elsewhere in the north, NHS Grampian had 28 new cases while NHS Tayside recorded a further 71.
