Highland Council trading standards launches Trusted Trader scheme
Highland Council trading standards has launched the Highland Trusted Trader Scheme (HTT Scheme) in a bid to give consumers a reliable way to find reputable local businesses.
Each participating business is rigorously assessed and vetted by trading standards officers to ensure full compliance with legal and ethical standards — providing consumers with a clear signal of trustworthiness.
The scheme also includes verified customer feedback, offering genuine reviews from previous clients.
Additionally, all members commit to a strict Code of Practice, which promotes integrity, accountability, and high-quality service delivery. This ensures that consumers receive not only competent service but also ethical and responsible business conduct.
Highland based traders can apply to become a member of Highland Trusted Trader.
Currently there is a 50 per cent off application fee for businesses based in the Highlands.
