Community engagement is well under way for the far north walking route known as the John O'Groats Trail (JOGT).

Jay Wilson from the JOGT said that community meetings are taking place along the length of the trail, and a wide reaching online survey will be running over the coming weeks.

He added: "The aim of this project is to seek feedback from local residents, trail users, and visitors to the area to help shape it's management, operations, promotions, and help to ensure it best serves the many communities that it passes through. The findings from this project will support the funding and development of improvements and infrastructure along the route."

The online survey can be found at: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/jogtrail

"Why not also check the schedule of events to see if any of the remaining dates and locations suit you. Pop along for a presentation, and open discussion on the route," Mr Wilson added.
