SNP MSP Kate Forbes - Deputy First Minister - hails Highland Business Awards finalists
Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes has congratulated Highland Business Awards finalists, describing being shortlisted as “a marker of your achievements”.
The annual awards will recognise the achievements of businesses and individuals when staged at the Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness on September 26.
It is part of Highland Business Week, organised by Inverness Chamber of Commerce, with award categories covering themes such as innovation, growth, environmental impact, marketing and community engagement.
Almost 30 businesses from across the Highlands are shortlisted for an award, as well as six individual employees and leaders.
SNP MSP Ms Forbes - who represents Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch - said: “I want to offer my warmest congratulations to the businesses and individuals invited to this year’s awards ceremony. Being shortlisted for an award is itself a marker of your achievements.
“In my work as an MSP, I have the privilege of meeting inspiring people from the world of business on a regular basis. I know the massive contribution businesses make within the Highlands - both to the local economy, and community life.
“The Highland Business Awards provides a worthy recognition of the dynamism, creativity, and hard graft of so many people. I wish all the finalists the very best ahead of the ceremony itself.”
