Halkirk driver with no insurance had cannabis





A young Halkirk driver was found in possession of cannabis when he was stopped by police.

Officers who spoke to Jack Ross (21) in Martha Terrace, Wick, on October 4 last year, also discovered he didn't have insurance cover.

Ross, of Church Lane, Halkirk, pleaded guilty at Wick Sheriff Court on Wednesday, and was fined £200.

He also incurred six penalty points.

The small amount of cannabis, weighing 1.7gms, was said to be valued at £15.
