Gardening club's tribute to treasurer

WICK and District Gardening Club has donated £400 to Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of Christine Scott, the club’s treasurer for 13 years until her death two months ago. Our photo shows club chairwoman Marney Bruce (right) and Christine’s daughter, Jennifer, handing the cheque over to Valerie Gerrie (left), from the charity’s east of Caithness branch. Looking on are other members of the club who attended the AGM in St Fergus Church. The cash was raised by a sale of plants at a previous meeting.
