Former MFR breakfast star Jodie McCluskey lands new job on the airwaves with Scotland’s newest station STV Radio
Former well-loved MFR Radio breakfast star Jodie McCluskey has landed a presenting job with Scotland’s newest radio station.
STV Radio has announced the latest additions to its growing presenting line-up with Jodie, Jane McCarry and Micky Gavin all set to join STV Radio when it launches early in the new year.
Jodie will be the station’s late-night host, presenting the 10pm to 1am slot every Monday to Thursday.
The Aviemore radio star is well-known and hugely popular with listeners in the Highlands from her time on MFR, having been the station’s first solo female breakfast show host from 2022 until the end of last year.

MFR to close its doors in Inverness as part of major restructure by radio giants
Jodie at Breakfast was MFR's last regular locally-produced programme in Inverness before the show was axed as part of a major shake-up by parent company Bauer Media Audio UK's Hits Radio.
Jodie, who attended Kingussie High School, is delighted to be returning to the airwaves.
She said: “I'm thrilled to be part of the new STV Radio family and can't wait to get started alongside such a talented line-up.
“Late-night radio has a special place on any schedule - it’s an opportunity to create a community, and I'm excited to get back behind the mic to chat and share great music with listeners across Scotland every night from 10pm.”
Jodie at Breakfast was broadcast from MFR's Scorguie base in the Highland capital from 6am to 10am every weekday.
But her show was replaced by Forth 1's Boogie in the Morning at the start of the year.
The move in favour of the Scotland-wide breakfast show broadcast out of Bauer’s Edinburgh studios for Forth 1 sparked anger and disappointment amongst MFR fans.
The shake-up saw the Highland capital radio station, Forth 1, Tay FM and Northsound 1 all share the same radio programme schedule each and every day.
Bauer then axed its bases in Inverness and Aberdeen leaving the broadcaster with no permanent facilities anywhere in the north of Scotland.
The wider restructuring means the radio giant broadcasts its numerous local, regional and national stations from four main hubs - in Glasgow, London, Belfast and Manchester - with three smaller production centres in Edinburgh, Newcastle and Leeds.
Meanwhile Scotland’s new mainstream music station STV Radio is being aimed at 35+ year olds, and launches early in 2026 on DAB digital radio, online, smart speaker and STV Player.
Star of stage and screen McCarry is much-loved across the country for her role as Isa Drennan in Still Game.
She will join radio star Micky Gavin to present Micky and McCarry which the station describes as ‘a lively, unfiltered weekly show packed with laughs, hijinks, great music and maybe even a bit of McCarry-oke’.
The duo will kickstart listeners’ weekends every Saturday morning from 9am to midday, covering everything that is going on right across Scotland.
