ScotRail trains cancelled after flooding blocks Far North and Kyle lines between Dingwall and Inverness
Flooding has blocked the Far North and Kyle of Lochalsh lines as torrential rain continues to cause travel chaos this Hogmanay.
Numerous ScotRail services had already been cancelled on north Highland routes heading into Tuesday amid amber and yellow warnings for rain, snow and ice.
Highland mainline services were also already badly affected due to dangerously high water levels on the Gynack Burn at Kingussie - which had resulted in many trains starting or terminating at Perth instead of Inverness.
But now flooding on the railway between Dingwall and Inverness has also put the two northernmost rail lines out of commission too.
