A Wick teenager has been fined £200 for an assault.
The fine was imposed on Wednesday at Wick Sheriff Court, which was told that Declan MacPhee had successfully completed a structured deferred sentence satisfactorily.
The 19-year-old previously admitted punching a man at a house in Loch Street, Wick, on March 12, as well as smashing a front-door pane.
Sheriff Neil Wilson, who saw a background report, said that MacPhee, of North View, Wick, appeared to have “responded well” to social workers during the structured deferred sentence.
The sheriff also commended the accused for his early plea to “relatively serious matters.”
In addition to the fine, MacPhee was ordered to pay his victim £200 compensation.
