Total of 15 new Covid-19 cases logged in NHS Highland area over past 24 hours

A TOTAL of 15 new Covid-19 cases were logged in the NHS Highland area over the past 24 hours, new statistics have revealed.

That brings to 115 the number of cases recorded in the large health authority area over the past seven days and to 1200 the total recorded to date.

There was a rise of 42 new cases in the neighbouring NHS Grampian area.

A total of 1115 new cases of Covid-19 were reported across Scotland over the last day.

Three deaths of people who have tested positive for coronvirus were also registered.

A total of 111 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed Covid-19.

And 1245 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed coronavirus.

There were 17,229 new tests for Covid-19 that reported results – and some 7.3 per cent of these were positive
