Events in Thurso and John O'Groats for Book Week Scotland

The John O’Groats Book Festival is to participate in Book Week Scotland, running from November 18-23.
On Tuesday, November 19, in partnership with Thurso Library, the festival team will host a session entitled Novel Extracts where anyone is invited along to share a favourite extract from a novel of their choice. It starts at 6.30pm.
On Saturday, November 23, in the Seaview Hotel, John O'Groats, writers and aspiring writers will be invited to take part in The Book Factor. Those participating will be allocated a maximum of 10 minutes to promote their writing in whatever way works for them.
There are no prizes or pressure – just fun and a chance to promote your writing. This event starts at 3pm.
Following on from this, there will be a book pub quiz in Seaview Hotel, starting at 7pm.
