Dounreay workers have received a 7.5 per cent pay rise.

The inflation-linked hike kicks in this month as part of a three-year agreement negotiated by site union representatives.

It covers the 1000-plus workers on the payroll of Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd.

A spokeswoman said: "The pay settlement applies to all negotiated grades as part of the collective bargaining arrangements, which represents 98.6 per cent of the workforce.

"It is for a three-year pay deal, with 2022 being the last year covered by the agreement."
