Disruption to train travel in the Highlands and Moray today continues today due to a fault with the signalling system in Inverness.

After the chaos caused by Storm Amy this weekend, commuters travelling on the Highland Main Line and between Inverness and Aberdeen are also being impacted by cancellations and delays.

According to ScotRail, the disruption is expected to last until around 10am.

On the Far North Line, train services will be terminated at and started back from Invergordon as stations between Invergordon and Wick cannot be served by train due to the damage caused by the storm over the past three days.

The Kyle line was cleared out at around 8am today.

ScotRail tickets can be used on Stagecoach North buses between Inverness and Aberdeen.
