Diesel spillage reported in Thurso

An “extensive” diesel spillage has been reported in the Thurso area this afternoon. It is said to extend from the Ormlie Road area through the town centre, onto Riverside Road and also on the A836 to Dounreay and beyond.

It is understood that roads crews have been notified, as has Dounreay. Campaign group Caithness Roads Recovery advised motorists to take “extreme caution”.
