Celebrity hosting quiz to raise money for Scotland’s animals
The Scottish SPCA (SSPCA) is delighted to announce that BBC sports broadcaster Connie McLaughlin will be hosting their pub quiz for pets on April 1.
Scotland’s animal welfare charity is thrilled that Connie will be helping raise funds for Scotland’s animals, at a time when they are struggling due to the pandemic.
Although set to take place on April Fool’s Day, this quiz is no joke but does guarantee an evening of animal themed fun.
Pub quiz for pets will be a live quiz on Facebook, and is free to take part.
SSPCA director of fundraising and marketing, Anna Devine, said: “We couldn’t be happier to have Connie hosting our upcoming quiz.
“With her wealth of presenting experience on the BBC, BT Sport, and lots more we know she will help make the event a success, and we are very excited to build this budding relationship. Connie is a passionate animal lover and participants will be in great hands."
The quiz will take place on April 1 at 7.30pm via Facebook. It is completely free to take part, but donations are gratefully accepted. All you need is a pen, paper, and some general knowledge – any animal related knowledge may be a bonus.
Connie said: “I’m really excited to be presenting the Scottish SPCA’s inaugural pub quiz for pets.
“Everyone who knows me knows my love for all animals. I have my little rescue dog Luna who no doubt will make an appearance on the night.
“I really admire the work of the Scottish SPCA and I’m proud to be a supporter and say thanks for my family dogs Maddie and Snoop who both came from the centre in Hamilton over the years, and brought so much love."
