Pupils from Castletown Primary School’s P6/7 class took two of the top places in a poster competition marking British Science Week.

Developing the Young Workforce North Highland (DYWNH) arranged the competition for local primary schools on the theme of growth. It was sponsored by SSE Renewables.

Lots of impressive entries were received but Castletown’s Rufus Braidwood, Brooke Patrick, Isla Ross and Alexander Pottinger excelled themselves by submitting entries that were voted in joint first place and joint third by the industry judges.

Claire Hull from DYWNH and Jade O’Hara of SSE Renewables visited the P6/7 class to award the prizes.
