A Castletown man is alleged to have threatened three people in the village's Olrig Place.

Paul Roberts pleaded not guilty on Tuesday at Wick Sheriff Court and will stand trial on January 21.

The charge accuses the 60-year-old of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards Isobel Sutherland (57), Linda McMahon (68) and 72-year-old Wayne McMahon, between August 9 and 24.

Roberts, of Olrig Place, was allowed bail with the special condition that he does not approach or attempt to contact the trio.
