Road crash on A99 in Caithness

A TWO-vehicle road traffic collision occurred on the A99 near Occumster on Tuesday morning (April 30).

Police reported that the crash happened at 8.10am and involved a Seat Ibiza and Fiat Fiorino van.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The female driver of the Seat was taken to Caithness General Hospital for treatment."

Her injuries were described as "potentially serious but not life-threatening".

Both vehicles were subsequently recovered.
