THURSO Tourist Information Centre have attributed North Coast 500 for increasing the number of visitors and accommodation bookings to the Caithness area this summer.

VisitScotland’s visitor figures for its tourist information centre at Caithness Horizons between April and October have gone up by 25 per cent compared to the same period in 2015.

It has also reported the number of accommodation bookings made at the town’s tourist information office has gone up by 10 per cent.
