After a few years without holding a winter showjumping league, Caithness Pony Club hosted a series of successful events for members and non-members that culminated in winners being announced on Saturday.
Club secretary Liz Hewitson said that all who were involved in the events, held over the last few months, had thoroughly enjoyed being back in the saddle. "We started in November and events were held at the indoor riding centre at Halkirk," she said.
"It was well supported and it's something that we'll look at holding again. We haven't held it for several years but we had new subcommittee members last year and we decided we'd give it a try. It was very successful."
The club's showjumping league started in November last year and the final day was on March 18. There was a mini-tetrathlon as well.
