Caithness man denies sex charge

A man who made a name for himself selling racing tips will stand trial in the New Year on a sexual-related charge.

Kevin Booth (60) is accused of directing a sexual communication towards a woman without her consent by engaging in a sexualised conversation and asking her intimate questions of a sexual nature, and offering her money to engage in sexual activity with her.

Booth confirmed his plea of not guilty when he appeared at Wick Sheriff Court on Wednesday last week.

A new date for his trial has been fixed for April 1.
