A man who made a name for himself selling racing tips will stand trial in the New Year on a sexual-related charge.
Kevin Booth (60) is accused of directing a sexual communication towards a woman without her consent by engaging in a sexualised conversation and asking her intimate questions of a sexual nature, and offering her money to engage in sexual activity with her.
The offence is said to have occurred between August 8 and December 9, 2022, at the accused’s home at the remote 130-year-old Lochdhu Lodge, Altnabreac.
Booth confirmed his plea of not guilty when he appeared at Wick Sheriff Court on Wednesday last week.
A new date for his trial has been fixed for April 1.
