Caithness hospital friends group hands over Christmas gifts

The League of Friends of Caithness General Hospital has handed over its annual Christmas gifts for the various wards and departments.

The items included a television, clocks and blankets for the Rosebank Wing, tub chairs and other small items for the Bignold Wing, dumbells and pulse oximeters for physio department, mugs and V-shaped pillows for the ambulatory department, a television for the X-ray department, emergency hygiene packs and colouring books for accident and emergency and toiletries for the wards.

The gifts were handed over on Saturday by Friends (front, from left) chairwoman Annette Sinclair, treasurer Lorette Mackay, secretary Lottie Shearer and committee members Barbara Nicol and Marjory Miller, while some of the staff, who accepted the gifts, look on (back, from left) health care support worker Hayley Levack, Bignold Wing; senior staff nurse Ann Gunn and health care support worker Karyse Anderson, Rosebank Wing; and senior staff nurse Donella Begg, Accident and Emergency.
